HAROLD ABRAMS is a multi-hyphenate whose work bridges entertainment and advocacy. As a two-time Emmy Award-winning supervising producer, he's brought compelling documentaries and shows like "New Year's Eve Dance Marathon" (MTV) and "Michael Jackson: Making History" (VH1) to life. His commitment to social issues is evident in projects like "World AIDS Day" (VH1), "Foster Care" (PBS), and "Teens and Gun Violence" (PBS). He’s also written, directed, and produced lifestyle projects for YouTube and marketing videos for nonprofits.

As a screenwriter, Harold is focused on crafting dramatic narratives with undertones of humor, celebrating the complexities of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ experiences. The story themes he is committed to writing include you can't help who you fall in love with, success against the odds, confronting your past, and the challenges of being your true self.

His TV series pitch "Grave Affairs" won SeriesFest 2022 and the pilot script was featured as a special live read event during SeriesFest 2024. His “Last Dance” one-hour drama was a Second Round pick at the Austin Film Festival in 2019.

Harold's social good extends to his work as Project Manager for the National LGBT Cancer Network. Here, he leads a state-funded program, improving health outcomes for LGBTQ+ individuals and families in New York. He also serves on the advisory board for the NYS LGBT HHS Network, develops resources like the "Frankly" microsite on sex after cancer, a cancer education social media campaign and produces documentary shorts amplifying LGBTQ+ voices on cancer journeys. Harold has been recognized by the NYS Department of Health as a Black leader working to improve queer lives around the state.

His artistic side shines through illustrations and graphic design. He's created greeting cards and t-shirts celebrating the beauty of diverse families and friendships. Previously, he ran "brandnewdaydesigns," an online platform showcasing functional and joyful design.

A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, this Denver native now calls New York City home. Harold is a storyteller and advocate, leaving his mark on both entertainment and healthcare. —
